After collaborating on the short film “A Place to Fall Down,” filmmaker Duane Hansen Fernandez and composer Wink Winkelmann have reunited — this time in the recording studio. The pair, whose creative chemistry helped define the emotional pulse of the film, have come together again for Be It Known.

We’re beyond thrilled to share that our short film, “A Place to Fall Down,” has officially qualified for the 2025 Academy Awards race.

Our latest collaboration with the YWCA, this time highlighting a program they created to help Afghan refugees get their driver’s licenses, is yet another partnership with their team that leaves us inspired and motivated to be better citizens and community members.

The directorial debut of Duane Hansen Fernandez, A PLACE TO FALL DOWN is a moving short film that delves into the life of Jose, an elite mechanic struggling to cope with overwhelming grief after losing his beloved wife. The film unfolds in the span of a single day, capturing Jose’s emotional journey as he navigates balancing his daily life and with his profound sense of loss.

When Mother Road Market first partnered with us in 2021, they were already a beloved food hall and gathering space for Tulsans for a reason — the space was gorgeous, with every single detail thoughtfully executed by their visionary CEO Elizabeth Frame Ellison.

Another Netflix x VOKSEE collab, this behind-the-scenes, raw look at the making of the song, “I Choose” was another creative success from director Duane Hansen Fernandez.
