Duane Hansen Fernandez is an 18-year veteran of the entertainment industry. He is a writer, director, and producer whose work spans narrative film, documentary, and elevated branded storytelling. As a filmmaker, Fernandez is known for intimate, character-driven work that examines legacy and identity through controlled storytelling and layered visual design.

His most recent short film, "A Place to Fall Down," is an Oscar-qualifying work starring Clifton Collins Jr. that centers on a grieving mechanic confronting the emotional and psychological residue of loss. Told with precision and emotional restraint, "A Place to Fall Down" has been praised on the festival circuit for its atmospheric direction, subtle symbolism, and confidence in letting silence and image carry meaning, solidifying Fernandez as a filmmaker with a distinct and mature voice.

In parallel with his directing work, Fernandez has collaborated with many of the industry’s leading studios, networks, and platforms, including Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Disney, Marvel, Fox Searchlight, A24, Focus Features, Universal Pictures, Lionsgate, Paramount, Sony Pictures, NBC, Fox, and FX. In 2015, he co-founded VOKSEE, a studio dedicated to financing and producing original film and television projects that unite creative ambition with long-term profitability.

Rebecca Parks Fernandez is a producer and creative executive with over a decade of experience shaping innovative, culture-driven work across the entertainment industry. In addition to championing bold storytelling, Parks Fernandez is known for building forward-thinking production and business models that balance creative ambition with commercial viability. Her work challenges traditional formats while strategically expanding how projects are developed, financed, distributed, and monetized across film, documentary, and branded entertainment.

VOKSEE has worked on some of the most iconic entertainment properties in the world, including numerous awards films that have received nearly 42 Academy Award nominations, culminating in eight wins, as well as 24 HFPA nominations and seven Golden Globes. Our passion for storytelling is boundless.
